• Good title- it is creepy! Slightly more horror

tha crime perhaps? One to consider - or Make sure statement of intent makes it clear

  • Narrative is pure crime drama - and sounds perfect for the brief.
You've also cearly thought about how
much goes into the 3-minute extract.
  • Good points on representation / stereotyping / convertions.
  • Coming of age hybrid genre interesting - nice opportunity to bring in genre theory here.
  • Really confident delivery and excellent slides. You've covered language, audience and industry contexts really well.
  • Not sure on title sequence - perhaps just a title, brand font /typography as we want to meet the brief 100%
  • Great that you've considered the print brief too and those ideas sound perfect for the brief

A very strong presentation overall - perhaps just lacking media theory if I'm being picky.

• Q+A handled well - not given great questions to work with but good discussion of genre and tagline.

2) Use this feedback, comments from peers and your own reflection on your presentation to self-assess and write your own detailed WWW and EBI for your coursework concept and presentation as a whole.

WWW: Well thought out and have planned what will be in the 3 min extract
EBI: Link more theories other than uses and gratification

3) Write a paragraph discussing how your presentation will lead into your actual coursework production. Do you need to update your statement of intent? Does your concept offer enough clarity? Is it appropriate for the audience specified in the brief? Is it achievable to film with the resources you have available? Can you add media terminology or theory to your statement of intent now you have reflected on your presentation and seen others?

My presentation had a detailed narrative and a thought out plan. This will help me when I begin my coursework as I have strong plan to begin with and a vision to start my coursework. My statement of intent will need some changes to make it clear that my video matches the genre in the brief. I have considered the location and accessibility before planning my idea and so this will not be an issue, however the location is outside so the only challenge I may come across with this is weather. More theory can be included into my statement of intent which I will be able to do now that I have more feedback and feel confident in my idea after my presentation.
