 Clip from 'Don't Worry Darling':

I think this clip uses both diegetic and non-diegetic sound. In the beginning of the clip, it is non-diegetic. The music also gets increasingly more intense for the build up to seeing what the character is seeing. This adds tension for the audience and an element of suspense. About midway through the clip the sound changes to a mixture of both diegetic and non-diegetic. I think that the sound of her banging her head is diegetic. After this point all the previous sounds begin to collate (the banging, the chanting and the music) which creates a more chaotic tone and adds to the build up. This all comes to a sudden halt due to the characters scream (diegetic). This may have been used as a jump scare for the audience or to further engage them. From the beginning of the clip the chanting already gives an eerie tone to the audience, although this isn't the opening of the film they may be able to identify that this is in the thriller/horror genre from this. I think that this sound is parallel due to the video syncing with some movements and also due to the fact that it has the same sinister build up.
