WWW: Your mise-en-scene recreation was ambitious and excellent – that gives me a lot of optimism for the practical coursework later in the course! The challenge now is to make sure our organisation and written analysis is at a similar level and this means catching up with our blog work and writing in sufficient detail.
EBI: Your poster analysis is an acceptable start but over the next two years we need to add a real level of depth and detail to our analysis. Clearly, we also need to make sure we are organised and posting blog work when it is due – although you kept me fully informed on why the video was late, I don’t see why the mise-en-scene blog analysis tasks couldn’t have been posted when they were due.
LR: Complete any missing or unfinished work and post it to your blog.
Reflection
I definitely enjoyed learning about mise-en-scene the most and now being able to analyse clips with this and the recreation task of course. I think my strongest piece of work was the recreation video and my weakest was the film poster analysis. I need to work on my editing skills and practicing analysis more.
